Formally trained, having earned a Bachelor Degree in Interior Design, Laurie is highly skilled in space planning and drafting with emphasis on custom millwork, lighting and color. Working directly with architects, carpenters and trades people throughout the project, she creates interiors that are extremely livable while meeting the needs of the most discerning clients.
Customizing designs that architecturally complement her clients' homes, Laurie takes the design process further by filling the interiors with a truly classic, yet casual style. This style results in comfortable, inviting rooms that can lend themselves to all occasions.
It is this attention to detail that has earned her numerous awards including 3 Gold, 1 Silver and 3 Bronze Awards for "Design Excellence", as well as a "People's Choice Award".
Over the years, Laurie's work has been featured in numerous publications, books and show houses, and her work includes both residential and commercial projects in New Jersey, Manhattan, Florida & Maine.
Laurie is a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers since 1991, as well as a Certified Interior Designer with the State through the NJ Board of Architects. Locally she is an active member of the Monmouth Beach Business Association and a long time member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. |
