About Us

Bob founded Belmar Window Shop in 1975. His credentials are too long to list. After leaving a successful, but hectic, career in corporate retail management, Bob, a single parent of five children, took a huge "leap of faith" leaving the security of a steady paycheck to pursue the Americian Dream. He landed in Belmar with a successful business for over 35 years now! With help from his family, Bob has built Belmar Window into what is possibly the most successful window coverings business in all NJ.

Kathy is the glue holding Belmar Window Shop's many components (sales, customer service and installations) together. A tireless servant of our fantastic customer base, she has a bachelors degree in business administration and over 30 years of "on the ground" management experience. Kathy is also a Hunter Douglas Certified Window Treatment Expert.

"Kathy made her mark on history in 1970"...A little known fact outside of the Beaudoin family is Kathy's 4th grade creation of "Woodsie the Owl" and her Earth Day slogan "Give a Hoot, Don't Pollute", no kidding, the slogan and owl were Kathy's creation. Raised by her paternal grandmother Hazel who's favorite saying was "I dont give a hoot", Kathy won a national contest at the founding of Earth Day with her Owl creation, and the now famous slogan "Give a hoot, dont pollute" Her creation was chosen by the National Forest Service to represent Earth Day. It is safe to say that Kathy has had an impact on your world! Very few people know of this outside Kathy's family and closest friends. She's shy that way! The National Forrest Service has a different opinion of who the original creator was, no doubt for copyright issues, but the Beaudoin family knows Woodsie's real origin.

Steve is one of a few shutter experts in the USA to achieve "Master Shutter Designer and Installer" status through the TSMA training facility in Chatsworth, CA. He oversees all Hunter Douglas window treatment motorization projects and has "Certified Expert Hunter Douglas Residential Motorization Group" status. Steve is also responsible for the founding of "The Art Gallery at Belmar Window Shop". In partnership with Pam Kimak, a former art gallery owner, Steve has arranged for two local legendary artists, Theresa Troise Heidel and Anthony Migliaccio, to display their work in our newly finished art gallery on an ongoing basis.

Growing up an artist and having a passion for design, Nicole began her career young, designing showroom displays for Mikasa, William Sonoma and Country Curtains. Nicole achieved her training certificate in interior design in 2003 and has been with Belmar Window Shop since then, where she specializes in unique custom window treatments.

Steve has been a Belmar Window Shop pro installer since 2000. Certified by Hunter Douglas and the Thermalite Shutter Manufacturers Association of America, Steve enjoys rave reviews from all his custom shutter installations.

Brody has an ongoing career here at Belmar Window as a professional plantation shutter exhibitor and presenter. His father Steve Scott(installer) introduced Brody to plantation shutters while installing at his own home and Brody took to them naturally. Brody's almost 5 years old now and will continue to consult with Belmar Window Shop on shutter durability over the next several years as he personally will conduct his structural durability tests.

Eileen has extensive training in window treatment design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. She has over 25 years of "hands on" experience in both hard and soft interior window treatments including all types of motorization. She has been Belmar Window Shop's top sales expert for 15 years.

Tracy is very likely the pleasant voice you will hear when contacting Belmar Window Shop. Tracy has several Hunter Douglas certification's and is one of the most knowledgeable window coverings experts you will ever meet.

Matt owns and operates Belmar's repair and cleaning operation. He has been with us for over 25 years and has certifications in every area of window coverings installation, cleaning and repairs. You will meet him if you spill the gravy on the shades.

Diane has been with Belmar for over 25 years. She is our most versatile employee. Diane owns Belmar Re-String service, a division of Belmar Window Shop's repair department. Diane has Hunter Douglas certifications in window coverings design as well as being a certified repair technician.

Mike is one of the most accomplished and accredited window treatments installers in all New Jersey. He joined our staff in 1985, and it may be safe to say that he has successfully installed more blinds, shades and draperies than anyone in New Jersey. Mike gets requested by repeat customers constantly, and he is one of the main reasons for our near-100% customer approval rating. He will always treat you and your belongings with the utmost respect.

Eric has been installing window coverings for Belmar since 2001. He specializes in shutter installations and had years of woodworking experience when he joined our team. Eric plays competitive soccer and enjoys listening to music in his off hours.
